The 2015 Powerline Baseball League season kicks off on a Saturday yet again as the annual tradition has legs now.
Bardo makes the long one-time trek to Rosalind to visit the not-so-expansion-like team from the deep south. Armena hosts Leduc to rekindle a growing rivalry and Camrose heads to the 2015 champion Ryley Rebels. Beaumont makes their long trip out to Holden to take on the Blue Jays.
Key dates include:
- Opening Day May 9: The league now has two teams with the same name as the Athletics face off against each other.
- May 28: A rematch of last year’s exciting final as Holden hosts Ryley.
- June 23: All-Star game vs. the Battle River League made more interesting by the Rosalind defection.
- Rainouts and extra days are all in July now as eight teams make for even amount of games thus hopefully not extending the season past mid-August.
