McNally - Journeyman to hero

Dave McNally has been waiting for his turn in the Majors and it finally came this season in CBF. In preparation for life after baseball McNally has already bought two car dealerships in his hometown of Billings, Montana. The Browns will be grateful for the start he has made in 1968, pitching 17 innings to date giving up just one earned run. He received no support in his first start losing 1-0 to the White Sox. In Game 2 he produced the best performance ever in CBF history at home to the Angels. In a 3-0 shutout victory he faced 27 batters, gave up one walk to Paul Schaal at the top of the 4th, had faced the minimum 27 batters (after Schaal was caught stealing), struck out 11, and most importantly gave up 0 hits. After coming one walk away from posting a perfect game, McNally in his after game speech to the Browns faithful thanked his parents, God and the Browns Management for showing faith in him. For a CBF Pitcher his ambition is bizarre, he hopes to one day hit a Grand Slam in a World Series game. Well, miracles do happen Dave but maybe that could be one too far.
