Opening Day NO-NO!

It was a great day for baseball on FMBA Opening day 2021, and despite the late (just before 8pm) start time, we got the game in before dark and it was one for the books for a few reasons.  We took on a re-vamped Twins squad with some proven FMBA studs and an injection of some young blood, and countered with Latty on the bump.

To be blunt, Latty had a day, he threw four strong surrendering a run on an error and giving up ZERO hits.  Dobber followed with his Giants debut tossing 2 with a similar line and ZERO Hits.  The boys combined for a unique No hitter and we're pumped/proud of the effort, it was outstanding.  No Hitters are special, Latty and Dobber join a solid and select list in Giants history, congrats fellas!!! Other highlights were:

-Dubbsy having a DAY with zero practices in the bank, 1-1, walk, 2 HBP and sac fly.

-Sully in a LENGTHY 1-on-1 death match with his ball pants zipper.  Judgement was a split decision, but if you took a look at the guy after...it was clear who came out with more left in the tank.

-Parker begging to hit against his friend, hitting a laser to right field and nearly getting gunned down at first because he watched it.  It was a rocket though, so good stuff.

-CD raging when no one would hit fungo's for warmup.

-Dayton catching a solid game and getting a couple hard knocks at the dish.

-Epic Spikeball chest move double-play from Cullum to Shuya to Jordan Lee...and all-rookie spin.

-Jared Lee sporting the mint white spikes and sturries.  Brought our look forward about 25 years.

-Luis and Jose yelling things at eachother in Spanish.

-Dobber making a great debut on the bump and looking good doing it.

-The Rookies all showing well and getting some action.

It was a great day, despite the long wait at the ballpark, and next up is a tough draw against the defending league champs, the Dbacks.  Should be fun!
