Ouch!

It's friggen hot out!  Too hot.  We played a double-dip in the beginning of the 'heat dome' affect that's going to see prolonged intence heat in the region.  It was a great day of ball at the park and a few personal and team milestones were achieved in the process.  Most noteworthy, Steven Latos with his SECOND career 17 strikeout game.  The guy is just a friggen clydesdale that puts his head down and works every time out.  He also had a day at the dish in game two.  Instead of breaking it all down, here's the highights (sorry if I missed anyone):

-Latty, again.  have a day.

-Kale stayed HOT going 7-8 with a Bomb, triple, double and three singles.

-Riki, who has been an offensive leader for us for years, was 4-5 with a huge bomb. 

-Dayton also just making it happen at all times by going 4-5 with a double, and gunned a potential base stealer, all while catching a game in a sauna.

-Sully stepping up to the plate and having a perfect day at the dish, ripping an oppo single and working a walk...then got gunned at second.

-Dobber looked studly on the bump in game 2, scattering 3 hits.

-Jared getting walked on ball 4, being called back for some reason, then wearing one for ball 5...then got dotted again as you can see in the photo...welts.

-Jordan Lee & CD notching their first Knocks of the season.

-Cullum creating another rundown...this time he was safe!

-Kenny getting dotted twice, again.

-Dubbsy just being solid, as always setting the table for the boys, then driving in runs when he gets the chance.

-Other things.

-Team stuff: First time in Giants history we scored in every inning of a seven inning game, All starters had at least one RBI in a game, Every player (substitutes included) scored at least a run in a game.

Next up is our bye-week, which couldn't be timed better as the heat is socked in for the forseeable future.  Stay cool and as always, hydrate or diedrate!
