Playoff Match-ups Set

The SWBL regular season has come to a close and the 6 playoff teams have been set.
At the top of the standings, the Boissevain Centennials (12-2) and Deloraine Royals (11-3) have earned 1st round byes, along with provincial berths later this season. They will await the winners of the two Best-of-3 quarter-final matchups in the semis.
Quarter-final #1: Hamiota Red Sox (8-6) vs Wawanesa Brewers (6-8)
Quarter-final #2: Virden Oilers (6-8) vs Oak River Dodgers (6-8)
WIth three teams tied for the 4th spot, tie-breakers needed to be used to decide the 4th-through-6th postiions. The first tie-breaker is head-to-head record amoungst the tied teams, here are the results:
4th: Virden Oilers (1-1 vs Wawnesa, 2-0 vs Oak River)
5th: Oak River Dodgers (2-0 vs Wawnesa, 0-2 vs Virden)
6th: Wawanesa Brewers (1-1 vs Virden, 0-2 vs Oak River)
Rivers (5-9) and Reston (2-12) both miss the playoffs. Rivers will be heading to 'A' Provincials.
At this time, no quarter-final games have been scheduled, though each series is to be completed by Sunday, July 24th. Please check back in the coming days for each series preview.
