Supers Off to the Ship

Posted July 21, 2022

The Supers faced the Langenburg Legends in a game three winner take all on Wednesday, July 20 at Al Sapieha Field in Canora. The bats were on fire, as was the pitching of Kody Rock in a 10-0 drubbing of the Legends.

The game was tied after one, but the Supers broke it open with five runs in the second. Two more runs in the third, followed by one in the fourth and two in the fifth was more than enough on this night.

Travis Mentanko had another great night with three hits and three rbi. Zach Rakochy Also had three hits. Derek Palagian had two hits including a 2 rbi single to jumpstart the offence. Sean Kolodziejski and Ian Quewezance also had two hits each, including a Quewezance two run homer. Chet Bornhorst, Clay Sleeva and Rock each had one hit.

Rock continued his dominant season on the mound, going the complete game with fourteen strikeouts. He gave up just three hits as the Legends did not pose a threat on this night.

With the win the Supers are in the league Final, starting on Monday July 25 at 6:30 PM in Canora vs the Yorkton Marlins. It will be a best of five series to determine the Southeast Senior Baseball League champions
