The Portage Padres watched the Cubs walk off game one in Neepawa on Friday and thought, man that looks like fun. So what did they do? They walked off Neepawa 9-8 in the bottom of the 7th to even the series at 1 game apiece. A game that had it all, including 7 lead changes. Neepawa would take an early 5-2 lead, but Portage would claw back to hold a 8-6 lead going into the final inning. Neepawa would push 2 runs across to tie it up, before Kian Calder scored the winning run on a bases loaded walk to Lane Taylor. MVP Finalist Daylan Laramee was 2-4 with an Homerun AND earned the win throwing 6 innings of relief, he struck out 9 to keep the Padres alive in a do or die game. Riley Borody was 3-4 with a Homerun for Portage. Neepawa used 4 pitchers (Froese,Lisoway, Krutkewich, & Rempel) to try and close out the series but fell short. Game 3 goes Wednesday night in Portage. Winner moves on, losers go home.
