Bombers Crowned NCBL Tier 4 Champions in Dramatic Comeback!

OTTAWA, ON - After a heart-pounding series, the Bombers have emerged as the NCBL Tier 4 Champions, proving once again their resilience and tenacity.

Despite an impressive 8 runs, the Bombers faced a formidable challenge from the Lynx, eventually succumbing to a close 6-5 defeat.

Rebounding with a vengeance, the Bombers showcased their title as the bounce-back team, thrashing Lynx 17-2, highlighted by outstanding performances from Hamilton, B. Guy, and K McIntosh.

Under the sparkling Friday night lights at Kinsmen, the Bombers sailed to an 8-1 victory. The entire lineup made notable contributions, with Beattie stealing the show going 3-3.

A lethargic Sunday game at Heritage.  witnessed a stellar performance from SP Sloane, though many Bombers seemed off-balance, potentially from the previous night's festivities.

**Game 5** 

The atmosphere was electric. With NCBL top brass in attendance  and the championship at stake, tensions ran high. An early lead by Bombers was quickly countered by the Lynx, leaving them trailing 7-2 at the top of the 7th inning.

However, what followed is the stuff of legends. As the NCBL officials were seen etching LY into the trophy the Bombers staged an epic comeback.

Bob stoked a single up the middle for 1b.  He was calling for Trevor Ashfield to pitch run before he even got to the bag.  Hamilton draws a walk.  Beattie grounds into a FC and the get Hamilton and 2nd for out #1. 

He comes ole Flexie- Looking sexy in leather he strokes a triple.  Beattie in a true blaze of glory runs through the sign (albeit a  low sign from Rene) and gets gunned out at home by a great relay from the Lynx.  Bombers get two back but are still behind.    Score 7-4.

Next up is big wheel pudge who rips a 1B cashing Gunther.  7-5.

Brucey skips a 1b to turn over the line-up.    After a battle at the plate Wallis pops out for 2nd out.    With 2 out Craig comes up and beats out a throw for an infield single which was a blaze of speed at the right time.  

Setting the stage for Johnston.

 2 Outs Bases loaded count goes 2-1.  Bonden comes in with a FB that Johnston absolutely pounds to the RF gap 1 hop to the fence. 

Wallis (for pudge), Brucey easily score.  Running the bases like he was running from the OPP as a kid Craig Scott came hard  all the way from 1B for the #walkoff!!!!!  ,  Swarmed by the bench Johnston made it off the field with his jersey still intact so he wont have to buy a new one next year!  Bombers win, Bombers win!!!

WP Hamilton outlasts them all and collect his 2win for the finals.He was the  the workhorse of the series, was awarded the Bombers MVP.
