The intensity picked up in the THHL on Saturday night.

 

Neepawa Farmers 2 @ Deloraine Royals 3

Mitch Olsen and Quinn Hobbs scored early first period goals for Deloraine. Ward Szucki put Neepawa on the board before the end of the first period and it was 2-1 after 20 minutes. 

 

Tieler Fenning-Cox tied the game for the Farmers midway through the second period and the contest remained deadlocked at two until Cole Olsen scored a shorthanded goal for Deloraine which proved to be the game winner. The Royals edged the Farmers 3-2. Deloraine improves to 1-1 while Neepawa falls to 0-1.


 

Carberry Plainsmen 2 @ Virden Oil Kings 4

Jeremy Johnson, Eric Lemoine, Tanner Lewis and Tanner Hepp put Virden up 4-0. Jaden Johnson and Reg Pohl cut the lead in half but that was as close as Carberry would get. Oil Kings win 4-2.

 

Gladstone 7 @ Pilot Mound 4

 

Jesse Toth put up five points and Jaden Shumilak had a Gordie Howe Hat trick (goal, assist and a fight) for the Lakers. Gladstone knocks off Pilot Mound 7-4 to go to 1-0 while Pilot Mound lost their second in a row to fall to 0-2 on the season

 

Killarney 4 @ Minnedosa 5

 

Bryson Werbicki-Mallett scored the first regular season goal for the Minnedosa Bombers in their new arena. Ryan Heino made it 2-0 Minnedosa before Brett Opperman and Daniel Stagg tied the game at two. Then Matt Saler took over the scoring,he scored the next two goals and the Bombers were back up by two. 

 

Early in  the third period Killarney would get within one when Rylan Gudnason found the back of the net. Shane Jury would put the game out of reach and send the Bomber faithful home happy. Final score Minnedosa 5 Killarney 4. 

 

Souris 0 @ Boissevain 8 

 

In a game seen right here on TL Media, Jackson Stephens and Tyler Dittmer each had four points for the Border Kings to go along with Jay Pringle’s 14 save shutout. Boissevain won 8-0

Speaking of the Blues they are in action this afternoon at two when they welcome the Miniota/Elkhorn C-Hawks.
