The Angels are 2023 BC Men's Provincial Champions!

Game one the Angels took on the host Nanamio Coalminers. The Coalminers would come out hot, scoring 11 runs by the 5th inning. The Angels would only keep up until the 2nd inning with Nolan Anderson leading the team with 3 hits. The host would send a message in front of their crowd winning the opening game 13-2.
Game 2 the Angels would get back on track with an outstanding performance by Grady Stanyer throwing 6 innings with 4ks and 1 earned run. Matt Clay would lead the way with 3 hits as the Angels won 7-2 vs the Ladysmith Pilots.
Alex Graham would start game 2 throwing a complete game shutout with 7 strikeouts. Ben Grant would have 3 hits including a double to lead the angels to a 7-0 over Kelowna.
After a 2-1 round robin, the Angels would take on Victoria Mavericks in the Semifinals. Sean Callegari would go the distance once again striking out 9 in 7 innings allowing only 4 hits. Victoria would carry a 3-1 lead all the way until the 5th inning. Matt Clay would put the team on his back with a 3 run home run to put the Angels up by 2 in the 5th. Darren Honeysett would add some insurance with a homerun of his own for his 3rd hit of the day. The Angels head to the finals for the 2nd year in a row.

The Coalminers and Angels were set for a rematch in the finals. The Angels would start off the Game hot with a 3 run first inning. Nanaimo would answer with a 2 run inning of their own. The Coalminers would put up 2 runs leading into the top of the 7th inning. Sam Aslanowicz would lead off the top of the 7th inning with a solo homerun to tie the game. Ryan Blight continued through the bottom of the 7th and 8th with no runs scored. The Angels would push one across in the 9th inning as Ryan Blight finished off his 9 inning complete game to win the 2023 Provincial Championship. An Instant classic that devastated the home fans.
