The Carberry Royals stun the Portage Padres last night with a 4-2 victory. Warren Birch got the win on the mountain throwing a complete game meanwhile teammate Josh McMillan went two for three with yet another double on the season.
Carberry improves to 4-8 and an end to their long losing streak. Meanwhile, Portage drops to 8-2-1
In Minnedosa Luke Gugin was strong on the mound for the Mavericks(4-8) as they beat the Austin A’s 9-4 . Through 5 2/3 innings giving up three hits and striking out seven. Andrew Richards would come in and get the final four outs. For Brendon Reimer through a complete game for the A's. Offensively Josh McInnes led away for the Mavericks going through for four with two doubles and John Hutton was one for two with three RBIs. Reimer was two for three for the A's.(4-8)
Rylan Denbow was solid on the mound again as the Plumas pirates beat the Neepawa Cubs 14-1. Denbow threw five innings only giving up one run Rylan single pitched the final two innings for the Pirates. Jordan Wickens took the loss for Neepawa (5-4-1)Denbow, Maloney, Koncz, and Yandeau all went 2-4 for the Pirates (8-3)
