Red Sox Claim Provincial Title

The Hamiota Red Sox took home the Manitoba Senior 'A' Provincial championship Sunday, beating the Oak River Dodgers 3-0 in the final. The Red Sox finished 2nd in the round robin, and needed to beat the Carberry Royals in the semi-final earlier in the day to advance to the all-SWBL championsip. The loss was the only one for the Dodgers all weekend, as they swept the round robin going 3-0.
In the Senior 'AA' Provincial championship, both the Deloraine Roayls and Boissevain Centennials came up short of the final. Deloraine was eliminated after going 1-2 in the round robin, while Boissevain went a perfect 3-0 in preliminary play, but lost in the semi-final against eventual champion Winnipeg West.
