Royals drop Blue Jays and split with Guns

The Royals currently sit in second place in the league after last weeks games. They defeated the Blue Jays on Saturday by a score of 15-4 with Russ Nielson getting the win. Paul Strueby had 3 hits and the boys played flawless defence. They then took on the Guns in Marysburg with Colin Bauml getting the win in the first game as the Royals won by a score of 11-2. Josh Johb finished up the game on the hill. The defence was good again and the bats were out as they had fourteen hits. Cordele Messer had 3 hits and Aaron Strueby hit a big fly and had 5 runs batted in. The second game saw the Royals spot the Guns 6 runs as they went on the win the game by a score of 9-7. Mathew Strueby took the loss and Josh Johb once again finished the game for the Royals. The Royals only had 6 hits with Russ Nielson leading the way with 3. Russ was only a triple away from hitting for the cycle. Next action for the Royals is Tuesday night at 9:00pm against the Outlaws.
