Royals beat Guns in extras! Playoffs just around the corner!
Posted August 5, 2010
Mathew Strueby pitched 8 very good innings to get the win over the Guns Tuesday evening. The Royals won by a score of 4-3. Mathew did not give up an earned run as the Royals made a couple mistakes defensively behind him. The boys battled back from a 3-0 deficit in the sixth to win in eight innings. Luke Strueby singled home Josh Johb for the winning run. Luke and Colin Bauml led the way with a pair of hits each. Timmer made his debut walking twice and showing us how to actually get down a sac bunt. Colin played a great game at shortstop as well. Good game Royals! Next action is Saturday when the Royals play the Outlaws in Marysburg in a doubleheader beginning at 1pm. Playoffs begin Monday as the second place Royals play the third place Guns at 9pm. Game two is Tuesday at 6pm and game 3 is Wednesday at 9pm (if necessary)!
