Pride Parents:
Miles for Miracles – Miracle for Mateo
Coach Matt and I would like the team to participate in an event called, Miles for Miracles for an organization called Miracle for Mateo. They provide financial support to families with very sick children.
We will be sponsoring the event so our PG Pride logo will be on the event T-Shirts. Coach Matt has made a donation in the team’s name already. The only commitment we would like from you is to attend the walk and spread the word to family and friends to make a donation to this wonderful organization. Hopefully we will have 100% participation. The event is October 16th at 9am in Riverview Beach Park, Pennsville. I will take care of all the details as far as registering the team and creating a page for donations.
Clean up
We will be doing a clean up to raise funds for tournaments. The township receives a grant that allows organizations to clean up the community and make money at the same time. The date is to be determined but the location with be at the Carneys Point Recreation Fields.
Columbus Tournament
The date for the tournament is October 6th and 7th in Woodstown. Since we are raising funds at the clean up, that will be used to offset the cost to the parents. Before we can register we need to make sure everyone is on board. We only have 12 on the team this year so if we are missing a player we may not be able to participate.
Reminders
Alternate jerseys are ordered. We are collecting $30 to cover the cost. They are nice Adidas jerseys that will have the Pride logo and a number on the back.
Please see Renee as she will be collecting the money. She will also verify everyone’s email address and cell phone number. Also, we will be creating a Facebook page to help us stay in contact. So if you have a Facebook account, please let her know this as well. Last but not least, let her know if you are committed to the Columbus tournament.
