Good Season Ends with a Whimper
Posted April 3, 2016
It was easy to expect that the A team would come into last Sunday's game very let down, given that they came less than 2 minutes and one bad bounce from going to the City Finals AND Provincials. And, in fact, it was clear from the outset that the team's heart was not in this one.
Down 3-0 less than half way through the first period, the team never really challenged and lost 6-2. Puck luck also left them, as crazy deflections and bad bounces led to several goals that were no fault of the A team goalie.
The lone bright spots were two goals by the line of Dylan (who potted both), Kasey and Andrew G., both very pretty goals that demonstrated the level of skill this team has.
And so it is that the A team's season comes to a close. All that's left is a final wrap-up, coming soon.
THREE STARS
1. Dylan (2 goals)
2. Kasey (2 assists)
3. Andrew G (2 assists)
HONORABLE MENTION: The entire team for a good season that came oh so close to a trip to provincials. Next year, boys!!!
