Varsity Boys and Girls Continue to Improve

Both Boys and Girls Varsity Cougars continue to work hard and their scores show it! The Girls Varsity Team of Katie Shepherd,Karen Alvarez,Maggie Weeks, Erika Alvarez and Olivia Predmore are all working hard. At our District Preview on Janruary 30th, the Girls missed out on 2nd place by 1 stroke. Kate Shepherd and Karen Alvarez both shot 77 to lead the Cougars. It was the third best score in the field and Karen got the third place medal due to the scorecard playoff. They are all representing the Cougars with passion and pride. Way to go Cougar lady golfers!
The Boys Varsity Team consists of Eric Luo, James Chong, Hayden Roup, Sean Ngo, Nick Dittemore, Nick Barzilla, Brandon Ngo, Adam Hunter, Jospeh Weisman and James Hunter. The top 5 Varsity team consists of 2 Freshmen (Eric Luo & James Chong), a Sophomore (Hayden Roup) and two Juniors (Sean Ngo and Nick Dittemore) shot 311 to earn 2nd place honors at the district preview on Janruary 30th losing by 2 strokes to 7 Lakes. Very proud of the way both Varsity boys teams played at the Preview!!We followed up the District preview with a rain shortened one day Barbers Hill Tournament at Eagle Pointe on Feb. 9 and 10th. The boys shot 311 again narrowly beat out by Clear Creek. This time we beat 7 Lakes boys team by 2. Our district tournament is going to be a battle this year for sure. We are young and improving all the time. Coach Hildebrand and I are very proud to be their coach. Way to go COUGARS!!!
