BOYS AND GIRLS TEAM ADVANCE TO REGIONALS!!!!

 

The Girls team held of a hard charging Tompkins team to maintain their 2nd place finish from day 1.   Tompkins was only 4 strokes behind after Tuesday. The girls team of Katie Shepherd (jr), Karen Alvarez (jr), Maggie Weeks(so), Erika Alvarez(fr) and Olivia Predmore (fr) epitomized team golf both days.  They were so focused and determined and made every stroke matter!  Katie Shepherd and Karen Alvarez finished 7th and 8th respectively. 

 

The boys team came back from 3rd place after day 1 to finish in 2nd place.  It was a battle both days.  The boys team of James Chong (fr), Eric Luo (fr), Hayden Roup (so), Sean Ngo (jr) and Nick Barzilla overtook Strake Jesuit after 9 holes and never looked back.  James Chong finished in solo 2nd place 1 stroke from first place.  Eric Luo and Hayden Roup finished tied for 10th.  

 

Our second boys team of Adam Hunter(fr), Jack Wakeman (fr), Brandon Ngo(fr) and Joseph Weisman (sr) played well but did not qualify for Regionals.
