Hollanders top Bruins

Another tight battle yesterday against the Brownton Bruins.
The Hollanders drew first blood in the 3rd. Tanner Luebke singled and stole 2nd a few pitches later. Carter Clemensen delivered a sharply hit RBI single to give us a 1-0 lead.
That was all the scoring action until the 9th when Tim Swanson singled followed by a Graham Burke walk. Andrew Eggers delivered a huge 2 out RBI double to give us a 2-0 lead.
Pitching and defense controlled the game. David Solfelt toed the rubber for Cologne, tossing 5 innings while only allowing 3 hits and 1 walk. Graham Burke came on in relief and only allowed 2 hits. Ryan Grams threw all 9 for the Bruins.
The Hollanders played tremendous defense, highlighted by diving catches in the outfield from Tanner Luebke and Casey Clemensen, both to end innings and save runs.
Fill in Manager, Brandon Fritz, collects his 1st career W. The win moves us to 3-0 in league play on the young season. We head to Plato on Wednesday night for a 7:30pm matchup
