Tigers Advance by Eliminating Huntingdon

Wednesday afternoon in the night cap the TIgers and Huntingdon would tangle again, this time with a different outcome. The TIgers took advantage of the Mustangs struggles to command the zone and scored 2 runs in the first and 6 runs in the second to take a commanding 8-0 lead. The score would remain there until the 5th as the Tigers loaded the bases off 2 hit batters and a single, two singles brought in 2 runs, and then a grand slam trimmed the lead to 8-6, and we had a new game. The TIgers responded in the top of the 6th with 3 runs to take an 11-6 lead that would hold up. Offensively the TIgers had 10 hits as Nathaniel Hall had 2 hits, Nobby Parliment had 2 hits and drove in 2, and Adam Goolsby had 2 hits and drove in 3 as this was his 6th RBI of the day. Joey Parliment, Mitchell Kirby, Hunter Davis, and Luke Blackburn all chipped in 1 hit each. The Tigers took advantage of 2 Mustang errors, 8 walks, and a hit batter. Hunter Mann got the start and the win as he pitched 4 innings giving up 4 earned runs, off 5 hits, 1 walk, 3 hit batters, and striking out 2. Britt Dillard came on and got us out of a jam as he pitched 2 innings giving up 2 earned runs off 2 hits and striking out 2. Joey Parliment pitche dthe final inning giving up 1 hit and no runs.
The TIgers advanced to the final four, and will take on Loretto at 2:00 in game 1 of the Riverdale Bracket finals.
