Welcome to the Home of the Mauston Axemen!
The Axemen name originates from the history of the City of Mauston, as it was founded on the lumber industry. This team was created to give local men the opportunity to continue their baseball careers, to keep improving Mauston's baseball programs, and to bring the community together more than it already is. This is the second year the Axemen are members of the Mississippi Valley League which is comprised of Sparta Miller, Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues, La Crescent Cardinals, Bangor Redbirds, Norwalk Knights, Lansing Mudcats, La Crosse 35ers, Viroqua Sox, and Onalaska Twins. The Mississippi Valley League is a part of the Wisconsin Baseball Association (WBA).

The Axemen headed to Bangor to play the Redbirds on dark dreary day. Playing through the rain the Axemen put up one run in the first inning.
