Game Notes: The Knights broke open a close game in the second quarter with a 19-2 run and went on to an 85-68 win at Bardstown in their season opener. It was the first time in 15 years the Knights defeated the Tigers on their home floor. Junior guard Tyshay Epps scored a career-high 29 points to go with four assists and four steals to lead MC. Junior forward Jamison Epps posted his eighth career double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds as well as five assists. Junior guard John Adams scored 15 points while shooting 9-9 at the free-throw line and grabbing seven boards. After a year off from basketball, senior Travis Wiser scored eight points with seven rebounds.
