The Boissevain Centennials completed a near perfect season Wednesday night as they defeated the Oak River Dodgers 8-7 to wrap up the final series three games to one. The Cents dropped just two league games all year (one regular season and one playoffs) as they went 15-1 during the regular season before sweeping both the Souris Cardinals and Deloraine Royals in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Boissevain lost the opening game of the final to the Dodgers before winning the next three to claim the championship.
League MVP Patrick Vandoorne led the playoff charge going .423 from the plate with 2 HR, 7 RBI, and 9 runs scored. He also pitched in three games earning 3 victories and striking out 9 to go along with 1.31 ERA. Skylar Canada and Zane Sawyer also did their parts on the mound, both earning 2 playoff wins on the backs of 1.17 and 2.04 ERAs respectively.
