Division Finals Set

The two division finals are set for the SouthWest Baseball League, with just 1 of the top four seeds still remaining. In the North, the top two seeds are out, as the #1 Hamiota Red Sox fell to the 4-seed Virden Oilers and the Rivers Comets were beaten by the Oak River Dodgers, both in 2-0 sweeps.
In the South, the division champion Boissevain Centennials got past the Reston Rockets while the Souris Cardinals upset the Deloraine Royals, both in 2-0 sweeps as well.
The South Division final got underway Thursday night with Boissevain earning a 1-0 series lead over the visiting Cardinals with a 3-0 shutout win. The SWBL playoffs will now be put on hold until Tuesday the 23rd as Oak River hosts the 2019 Senior "AA" All-Star Provincial Championships being held July 19th-21st.
