Huge Sweep for Mounties

This past weekend the Mounties swept the Langley Township Blue Sox who sat atop the BC Minor Bantam AAA standings coming into the weekend with a 24-1 record.
The Mounties walked off game 1 as Simpkin drove in the winning run with a hard hit ball to RF. Soper and McConnell teamed up on the bump, going 4 and 3 innings each.
Game 2 was a pitching duel, as Lowther held the Blue Sox bats to just 2 hits and 1 run over 5 innings of work. Sun cracked the game open with a 3 run HR in the bottom of the 6th. McCullough closed out the game on the mound.
The Mounties bats we on fire, racking up 23 hits on the day, lead by Malig 5-7, L. Sale 4-6 and Sun 2-3.
