ABOUT YOUR COLUMBUS LADY WINGS

� The Columbus Lady Wings (CLW) is a member of the Women�s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) competing in the south region � The CLW was acquired  in  January 2011 and played the first game in May of the same year � The inaugural year was a turbulent one for the Lady Wings, leading to much defeat by opposing teams  � The Lady Wings quickly rose to the top of  their game in 2012, defeating everyone they took on for a 8 and 0 Record  � The Lady Wings will be heading to Miami, Florida in August, 2012 to compete for the National Title  � Visit www.WBCBL.com for more information about the league

OUR GOALS

� Partner with local schools, churches, and businesses to positively influence the community.  � Afford women over the age of 20 an opportunity to experience high level competition playing a sport they love, while helping each team member reach her goal, whether that is playing for the "love of the game" or advancing to a professional league. � The CLW Players will become role models for our area youth by:  � Conducting clinics  � Helping youth with basketball skills  � Helping youth understand the importance of conditioning  � Helping our youth focus on education and developing character so they become servant leaders  � Help our youth understand the importance of demonstrating good sportsmanlike character on and off court
