The Red Star Recruit- Red folders are given to potential players who look as though they have the talent to play competitive level youth football, most players recruited by the RDFA Benbrook Stars are 12u age players these players would have finished up eligiblity with recreational level association football, and would be waiting for the calendar school year to end for them to move into 7th grade junior high school football.

We play Spring football and give the player a 10 game schedule to continue or in many cases develop the skills and technique training for 7th grade football where they will face competition equal to themselves and abilities height,weight, and speed to match.

Sometimes this matchup if not faced until the 7th grade season starts can affect the players mindset once he finds that he is no longer the strongest nor fastest player on the field. 

We do Scout/Recruit players age 10u to watch progress, but will recruit him if that player looks liks he is having to play verses  competition well under his abilities in recreational leagues.
