Tom Stetter annouces that he will be leaving the team in Late December as he and his family pursue oppurtunitys in Portland, OR.

Tom has been a great asset to the team always putting team first, putting in many extra hours in the cages to improve his game.

He'll be missed and we wish Tom and his family the best in there new home.

Sandvipers players Nick Reichelt, Danny Varian, Mack Marenko, Matt Johnson and Jason Walker contribute to the Las Vegas Stars team 2nd Place finish in the MSBL Las Vegas Desert Classic Open.

Sandvipers +18 draft Mack Marenko(INF) 1st round of the 2008 MSBL tryouts. Other new players being added to the Sandvipers 18 are David Ibarra(util), Jason Bonnell(P), Matt Berkey(P), Sean Allen(P), Skoti Matzui(INF/OF).

Sandvipers +18 competed in the NABA California Classic. The Sandvipers travelled to California with only 4 players Nick Reichelt, Danny Varian, Skoti Matzui, Matt Johnson, and Jason Walker. Picking up 9 out of state players the Sandvipers lost 4 straight games.

Drew Vertes announces his retirement as he continues his quest up the ladder being an umpire at the highest level.
Thanks for a great season Drew. And as mentioned early, this was Steve Johstons last game as well. Both will be sorely missed.

Steve Johnston has announced he is leaving the Sandvipers organization at seasons end. Steve will will pass on his role as G.M. and will immediatly leave to Sandvipers 18 team. Steve will finish the 2007 Fall season with the 28+ Sandvipers. Steve will also travel to Arizona for the MSBL World Series with the 28+ All Stars in October.
Sighting his lack of availability, new business venture and current work schedule as reasons for leaving. Steve will leave the Sandvipers in top 6 in BA*, 2nd in 2B*, 1st in HR*, RBI's* & BB's*.

Jamie Chagnon was announced the Fall 2007 MVP of the +18 team with a .500 BAvg and excellent defense on the season. Unfortunately Jamie also announced he will not be returning in the Spring due to a job offer as a sports writer for the Washington Senators. Best of luck to you Jamie! you will be missed.

Sandvipers aquire Pitcher Joe Eagen through Free Agency. Joe comes to Vegas from Chicago. The Sandvipers 28 is excited to have him with the departure of Ken Salazar who is relocating to Reno.

Sandvipers anoounce the reaqusition of Chris Gschwender to the Sandvipers 18 in exchange for a 2008 Draft Pick. Welcome back Chris.

Sandvipers 28 are proud to announce the addition of Drew Vertes, Mike Nelson and Jason Walker to the 28+ Sandvipers team. Mike Nelson will continue to play 18+ with the Dirtbags while Jason & Drew will join the Sandvipers 18 as a role players. Sandvipers have also re-aquired pitcher Darryl Natale off waivers from the Rage.

Sandvipers 18 have also added Utility Player Jamie Chagnon along with Outfielders Charles Clemons, Ryan Lamb & Jerry Fischer. Sandvipers 18 have also bolstered their pitching staff by adding Jesse Rimmer, Javien Estrada, Tony Musante, while Matt Johnson has returned after suffering an injury prior to the start of the 2007 Spring season.

Sandvipers lose slugfest to the dirtbags. As the lead changed and tensions built, the Sandvipers deleted a 6 run deficit to take the lead entering the 9th inning. The dirtbags swing their way back as they put up a 6 spot in the 9th to win the Spring Championship.

Sandvipers beat Budweiser for second week in a row to advance to the Vegas Valley 18+ Championship game. The Sandvipers 18 will play the Dirtbags for the title. If the Sandvipers win they will be a repeat champion in both the Fall and Summer seasons. The Championship game will be help Sunday July 15, 2007 at 5:30pm at Pecolle. Good luck to the Sandvipers 18.

18+ Sandvipers Quarter Final Game at Arroyo Grande 6pm Sunday July 8th 2007. Sandvipers play winner of Budweiser and Cougars, who play at Burkholder at 2:45pm to see who advances. GOOD LUCK SANDVIPERS!

Congrats 18+ Sandvipers as they beat the Cougars and the Budwieser to secure a 2nd round bye, and advance to the Quarter finals next Sunday July 8th

The Sandvipers are proud to announce the acquisition of the Las Vegas Desert Devils NBC (National Baseball Congress) Team. The Devils are currently in 2nd place in the Pacific Southwest League, and are working towards the goal of a berth to the NBC World Series held in Wichita Kansas.

The team will continue the season at the Devils, but in 2008 the team will become the Las Vegas Red Vipers. "I am excited about us having an NBC program again," Steve Johnston General Manager of the Sandvipers. "Last year was a great experiance for us, and we know we can and will put a competeive team on the field." The Sandvipers were a member of the 2006 PSWBL as the Sandvipers.
This team will allow the Sandvipers to play a higher level of baseball and provide a Summer destination for Collegiate players all over the United States.
