2013 Region 15C Tournament at Farming

For the first time since 1987, Farming hosted the Region 15C baseball tournament. A total of eight teams from the Stearns County and County Line leagues competed for four births into the 2013 state tournament, which took place in Maple Lake and Delano.

Congratulations to the Farming baseball community for hosting an excellent Region 15C tournament!  Here are the results:

Friday, August 9 at St. Martin:

Lake Henry 3, Elrosa 2 (winner's bracket game)

 

Saturday, August 10 at Farming:

Spring Hill 11, New Munich 2 -- Spring Hill qualifes for state tournament; New Munich is eliminated

Richmond 11, New London-Spicer 8 -- Richmond qualifies for state tournament; NLS is eliminated

Spring Hill 4, Richmond 2 -- Richmond is the #4 seed from Region 15C

 

Sunday, August 11 at Farming:

Spring Hill 9, Elrosa 6 -- Elrosa is the #3 seed from Region 15C

Lake Henry 11, Spring Hill 1 (7 innings) -- Lake Henry is #1 seed from Region 15C; Spring Hill is #2

 

First weekend:

Friday, August 2 at St. Martin:

Elrosa 3, Regal 2

 

Saturday, August 3 at Farming:

Lake Henry 14, New London-Spicer 0 (7 innings) -- NLS made eight errors in this one

Spring Hill 10, St. Martin 4 -- St. Martin had the early lead, but Spring Hill came back strong

Richmond 3, New Munich 1 -- A three-run homer in the second inning accounted for all of Richmond's runs

 

Saturday, August 3 at St. Martin:

Lake Henry 6, Spring Hill 4 (10 innings) -- Lake Henry qualifies for State Tournament

 

Sunday, August 4 at Farming:

Elrosa 6, Richmond 2 -- Elrosa qualifies for State Tournament

New Munich 2, Regal 0 -- Regal is eliminated. Veteran Jim Thull pitched a gem for the Silverstreaks.

New London-Spicer 8, St. Martin 6 -- St. Martin is eliminated. St. Martin had an early 5-0 lead, but NLS got the bats going late.
