On June 26th, 2024, the Gibbon Reds were honored to host the FOX 9 Television Town Ball Tour. This event celebrated our community and the charm of small-town living, with an extraordinary turnout and enthusiastic support making it one of Gibbon's most memorable baseball evenings. We extend our deepest gratitude to the FOX 9 team for choosing Gibbon as a stop on their Town Ball Tour. Their professionalism and positive attitudes were crucial in capturing the essence of our community and the excitement of the event. Their coverage has highlighted the spirit and unity that make Gibbon special. We also recognize the tremendous effort and countless volunteer hours that went into planning and executing this event. The dedication and hard work behind the scenes were pivotal in making the evening a success. From the Gibbon city employees who supported us with logistics and preparations to the former Gibbon Reds players of the 1940s to the 1970s who graced us with their presence, to the current team members, your contributions were invaluable. A special thank you to our visiting opponents, the Searles Grizzlies. Your sportsmanship and competitive spirit added to the excitement of the game and made it a memorable experience for players and fans alike. We also extend our gratitude to the food truck vendors and concession stand workers. Your delicious offerings and friendly service added to the festive atmosphere and kept everyone well-fed and happy throughout the event. Baseball in Gibbon is a wonderful experience because of fans like you. The genuine appreciation for our neighbors, the joy of having fun with family and friends, and the opportunity to create lasting memories all come together to create a unique and enriching experience that we are proud to be a part of. Lastly, we are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us. Whether you were cheering from the stands, helping with logistics, or spreading the word, your participation was key to making this another great stop on the FOX 9 Town Ball Tour series. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this event an unforgettable experience. We are proud to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community, and we look forward to many more wonderful evenings of baseball together.
