Aldergrove's 2013 Bantam AAA head coach Darren Rock was awarded Coach of the Year by BC Minor Baseball Association!

Congrats Coach Darren on the well deserved recognition!

Honourable Mention acknowledgment was given to 3 BC Coaches for their coaching accomplishments in 2013. Aldergrove was extremely pleased to hear their own Head Coach Darren Rock of the Bantam AAA Dodgers received recognition!

On behalf of the Langley-Aldergrove players and parents we would like to congratulate Darren Rock for being recognized by Baseball BC and for didicating his time and hard work making the AAA Dodgers Western Canada Champions!

The Aldergrove Dodgers are the Western Canada Champions!

With only two years in the AAA Bantam Program the Aldergrove Dodgers did the unthinkable by going undefeated during the Western Canada Championships. The Dodgers defeated the Regina Buffalos 5-1 in the Gold Medal Game!

The Gold Medal game saw Dodger starting pitcher and game MVP Jake Polancic take control and threw a complete game. The Dodgers defence and bats were solid throughout the tournament and continued on into the Gold Medal game!

Consistent with thier season, the Dodger players showed confidence, team focus and a positive attitude during their tournament play. As everyone knows fielding a team for this tournament requires the addition of players, the Dodgers would like to thank Sam Avila, Brendan Coulter, Isaiah Hayes, Kobe Morris, Mitchell Rennie and Kyle Stubbins for joining the team and bringing with them not only their skills but also their positive attitude!

Behind this great team is a hard working and supportive group of parents. The coaches and players would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parent volunteers for making the tournament a success.  In addition there were many individuals who do not have players on the team who also came out to volunteer and support the Dodgers, thank you!

A special thanks goes out to Lyall and Eric Sharman, Jason and Bret Ducharme and Scott Manick for all the hours spent prior and throughout the Championship Tournament ensuring the facility and fields were in excellent condition!

A Championship Tournament of this calibre can not happen without the support of local clubs, thanks to Mike Kelly of BC Minor Baseball and Patrick Selinger of Aldergrove Minor Baseball for thier support.

With only two years into Aldergrove's Bantam AAA Program the Dodgers have shown they are already a contender early in their program by finishing 5th overall in the Provincials! Even though the Dodgers felt they were strong enough going into the Provincials to win the tournament, the coaching staff was extremely pleased with the teams tournament performance as the Dodgers competed and became a threat during each of their games. The Dodgers lost 4-3 in their final game against a good Abbotsford team and left the Provincials with their heads held high and no excuses as to their tournament performance!

The future is bright for Aldergroves young Bantam AAA program!

The Dodgers now look forward to hosting and competing in the upcoming Western Canada Championships!
