The 2025 Mudhen Senior Legion Tournament kicks off today (Friday, 6/20) at 7:00pm with your BOLD Mudhens facing off against West St Paul. Known as Challenger Legion, the 2-time defending champions (3 championships overall) return for their 14th appearance in the tournament.  Other teams entered are Clearwater/Annandale who has appeared 7 times, St Louis Park with 5 appearances and one championship.  Newcomers to the event this year are Chanhassen and Nowthen.  Come on out to watch some great legion baseball all weekend.  After the opening game Friday, there will be 5 games Saturday and 3 on Sunday.  Concessions are available on the plaza.  There is a daily gate fee.  Veterans are admitted free.

There are still slots open for BOLD Legion players and parents to sign up to help with our Mudhen Invitational Tournament this weekend.  Players who haven't signed up for 2 slots (1 working the gate and 1 helping with field prep) should contact their coaches to find out what slots are unclaimed and get signed up.  Parents, there is a sign up genius site set up by Kim B to enter your name for a game in the tournament, or to volunteer for a another game for the remainder of the season.  if you don't have the link to that site yet, please talk to Kim to obtain the link to the sign up genius site. it is a very simple process to sign up.

The 23nd annual BOLD Mudhen Senior Legion baseball tournament is scheduled to be an 8 team event with the addition of some new teams this year.  The three day event kicks off Friday, June 20, at 6:00pm.  Host team, BOLD, will play in the tournament opener atb that time.  Following that game, tournament regulars West St Paul and Millard Black from the Omaha, NE area will face off.  Four more teams will begin their tournament run on Saturday, the 22nd.  They are St Louis Park, Madison, Luverne, and Wayzata.  West St Paul and St Louis Park are returning co-champions after the championship game last season was washed out. 

This is a big fundraiser for our legion baseball program so it is important for all players and families take on a role in running it smoothly.  Sign ups for parents and families is available on line through the signupgenius site that Trish Sheehan set up for us.  Sign ups for players to work at the gates will be distributed at upcoming Mudhens and Blue Angels games.  Each player is expected to take at least one shift.

Everybody involved with BOLD Legion Baseball should mark August 1-4, 2024 on their calendars for the D2 Senior Legion State Tournament. During those days, it will be all hands on deck as we become the focal point for Minnesota Legion Baseball. It will take all of us to successfully run this event in a way that shows off our facility and communities.  Please contact your coaches to volunteer. There are many different opportunities and ways to help. Tell us your preference.  BOLD Baseball has a history of smoothly run state tournaments. Let's all make a commitment to adding to that legacy.
