In the 3rd Quarter orlando outscored Miami by a count of 25-20 due to the fact that Miami kepts on fouling Orlando and kept putting on the Free-throw line must of that 3nd Quarter, but in the 4th, coach always says the more you make your free-throw. the better chances you will have to WIN, and that one was true. Miami was making free-throws in the 4th while Orlando was missing theirs and Miami outscored Orlando 32-15 in the 4th Quarter put this game away, Leading the Way For Miami Rain It was Kiesha who finish with 21 points, Melissa Dalembert, Arlande Cherizol and Sudanne Stewart who finsh with 11 each, and Christina who had 13 points, Charmaine Clark also added 11 rebounds and Kiesha, Christina, Ce-Ce and Charmaine each had 3 assists too add. Arlande lead the team with 3 steals and Melissa Dalembert had 3 blocks to also lead the way for the Rain

Posted Jul 14/12 - Sweep of the Knighthawks

Miami, FL- Miami Rain Defeated the Knighhthawks 83-64 on the Campus of Florida Memorial University where our home games are taking place, in the first quarter, both teams started off cold shooting from the field, Florida Knighthawks were stuck at 2 points for about 7 minutes and they were cold shooting 1-9 and things will continue to get worst for them during those other quarters, Miami Rain meanwhile only scored just 12 points, their lowest of the quarter since June 9th, when they scored that same result against Orlando, But Miami been having some big quarter scoring throughout this year, the most they ever score was 32 and that was against these knighthawks in jacksonville and that was in the first quarter, Although Miami commited to many fouls in the 1st half, they only held the knighthawks to only 21 points, which is the lowest of any half this season by Miami Rain Opponents, in the 3rd Quarter, Miami Rain keep on Scoring with what is become a 3 point shootout, with Sudanne and Kiesha on the team together, it seems that Miami 3-point shooting has been successful because of these 2, and they allowing Telisha, Yvonne and Christina to also shoot 3's, and speaking about 3 point shooting, The Miami Rain has outscored the knighthawks 75-3 from the 3-point line, they make a total of 25 3's against the knighthawks this season and Sudanne Stewart had 40% of the team 3's against Jacksonville, part of the reason why the Miami Rain has swept the Knighthawks. At Half Time it was only 30-21 Miami, Miami wasn't done in the 3rd, that's where the 3 pointers come from scoring 15 out of 29 points resulting from 3 point rage and the Knighthawks had no answer for the Rain, but in the 4th quarter, Miami commited to many fouls and they continue to give up free-throws for the knighthawks, but then i believe after 2 minutes, the knighthawks stopped playing all of a certain and Miami Rain kept Running and Running

Posted May 23/11 - The Lady Rain Pull Through In OT

Jacksonville, FL- Miami Rain gets its second win of the season on the road as they defeat the Florida Knighthawks 81-76 in overtime. The Lady Rain came out swinging as they outscored the Knighthawks 16-6 in the first quarter. LaShonda Gaines hit two three-pointers followed by Alysha Harvin and Kiesha Alexander in, what looked like, a shooting clinic. But the second and third quarters went to the Lady Knighthawks as they went on a 41-25 run. Miami Rain was down 31-47 at the start of the fourth quarter, and it looked like they would take their first loss of the season, but they fought back with Melissa Dalembert and Telisha Quarles leading the charge. Melissa collected her second double-double of the season, scoring 11 points and snatching 11 rebounds. Telisha came alive in the fourth quarter scoring 8 straight points, including a game tying “And-1.” Late in the quarter the Rain and the Knighthawks traded fouls and free throws as both teams were in the penalty. Christina Rozier jumped over Florida’s post players to collect an offensive rebound with eight seconds remaining in regulation which lead to a Miami Rain timeout. Unfortunately, the Rain did not make a basket from the play designed by Coach Patterson, and the game went into overtime. Proving to be too much for the Florida Knighthawks, the Miami Rain, lead by Kiesha Alexander and Lashonda Gaines with 4 points a-piece, pulled off the “W.” Congratulations to the Miami Rain on a nail-biting victory. Now they will prepare to take on hometown rivals Ft. Lauderdale Lions next Saturday.
