AUSTIN, Texas- Senior forward Itiana Taylor set the pace with her 10th double-double of the year, registering 16 points and 11 rebounds, to lead the state's No. 6 ranked and undefeated Pflugerville Panthers to a 56-28 win over Stony Point in the Bowie Tournament championship game. The Panthers moved to 16-0 with the win.
Junior forward Diana Omozee added nine points, six rebounds and four blocks. Junior guard Taylor Ross finished with seven points and four assists.
Stony Point, a District 16-5A opponent, drops to 9-6. The Panthers rolled to a 27-5 lead at intermission.
Ironically, Pflugerville and Stony Point will meet again on Tuesday (Dec. 6) to open District play at Stony Point (7:30 p.m. tip).
This was the second consecutive weekend tourney championship for the Panthers. Last week, they captured the Greater Austin Tournament title.
