Bats Hot Again as Thunder Rolls!!!
The Thunder bats continue to stay hot as they pounded out 20 hits and 20 runs in four innings en route to a 20-0 win over Menomonee Falls Burgundy. Ten players collected hits in the game led by George Seaman, Lucas Karls and Trey Larson who all had 3 hit games. Sam Geldnich, Evan Roell, Dawson Rondorf and Cal Karnitz each had two hits while Jake Lavanway, Collin Dehne and Caden Gish each had one hit. Brady Schmidt reached base twice, once by walk and the other by HBP. Joey Spence hit the ball hard and had a RBI on sharply hit groundout. It was a hiting display once again by these kids and a total team effort at the plate.
On the mound, Evan Roell started and went 3 sharp innings allowing only 1 hit and 0 runs while striking out 5. Evan was pounding the strike zone all night. He was relieved by Jake Lavanway who went a scoreless frame and George Seaman who also pitched a scoreless inning while fanning two. It was a complete game by the Thunder all around. Hitting, pitching and defense was all sharp once again.
With the win the Thunder improves to 6-0 in league play and 10-0 overall. They host Kettle Moraine Friday at 7:00. The game was moved up from 7:45 to 7:00. Then they head to Burlington Saturday and Sunday for the Titans Tournament. Hope to see everyone there and GO THUNDER!!!
