July 16,, 2015 rockets 8 twin city bankers 6
Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland. And the sun
shineth, and the Portland
rockets winneth. Portlands team played
nine innings of wood bat baseball on a lovely quiet wed nite at taylor
university, success story Portland
8 twin city bankers 6
Get off the bus gus, Dalton
tinsely and Brandon
reaman teamed up to score 3 rocket runs in
the first 4 inn and the team never trailed. Get em on, get em over, get em in. In
fact, reaman 4 hits and tinsley 3 hits,
include colin Affolder with 2 hits, tom mccowan a double, and we had 13 on the evening.
A 4 -0 lead in the 4th , usually enough for
starter dan bollenbacher, the big fella
goes 6 inn. 88 pitches strikes out 9
scatters 5 hits, 1 earned run.
Austin
branock pitched 2 inn. …keep in mind these guys have been itching to pitch for
a couple of weeks, alex delk pitched a
perfect 9th, in fact delkie has struck out 6 of the last 9 he faced.
Key blow in the game, with Portland leading 4-3 in the 6th ,
alex delk hit a monster shot over the fence 3 run home run .
Special thanks to cr sports editor chris Schanz for making
the trip to upland, he noted we left 14 runners on base. Again, get em on, get em over, and dag nabbit
silly rabbit, get em in!
Rockets record now moves to 15-4.
Pretty cool to have in our dugout coach mark Flueckiger of
Huntington university . even cooler
having 5 year old son calvin circling the bases in his black and gold rocket
attire. Love ya in Portland
