MOUNT VERNON — The Mustangs held Chester scoreless in the second half to come away with a 28-22 victory.
Robby Kazi led Mount Vernon with 204 yards rushing on 20 attempts. The Mustangs finished the game with 226 yards on 33 carries and 106 yards passing behind Brian Kluth’s 8-for-12 effort.
Kyle Gerlach led the Mustangs’ defense with 14 tackles.
Dylan Kreutzfeldt rushed for 81 yards on 20 carries and went 17-for-25 passing for 175 yards and two interceptions for Chester, 1-1.
Mount Vernon, 2-0, hosts Tripp/Delmont-Armour Friday. |
