I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and some quality time with family and friends. Here are some training tips and reminders to help each of you not just meet your potential, but exceed it.
· Make sure you are doing regular physical training:
o Use your fancy gym membership.
o You don’t need a state of the art weight room to strength train. You can train anywhere, including traveling with your family. You can lift book, paint cans, bricks, bags, etc.
o Do manual labor. This is a great workout as well as a great way to make help your family out. Send the lawn guy on vacation and push the mower around the yard.
o Walk or ride your bike from place to place.
o This list could go on forever. Basically, be active!
· Wrestle:
o Get to as many camps and open mats as you can. This is the best way to level jump. If you left Seven Lakes last spring as a level 1 wrestler and are looking to get to level three next year, wrestle, wrestle, and wrestle some more.
o Get to every open mat you can.
o Don’t forget to hit Revolution MMA on Tuesday nights.
· Camps:
o There are still a few camps left in the area. There are in the handout section of our website
o There are only a few spots left in the dynasty camp. Please call ahead to secure your spot before you send money in.
· Lessons:
o Coach King’s lessons are in full swing Wednesday nights at The Cerza house.
o Get together with a couple of same sized drill partners and save some money.
· Technique:
o As well as wrestling in open mats, lessons, and all your camps you need to study wrestling like a good student.
