| December is tournament time for the Pflugerville Panther basketball teams. The brackets for the following tournaments are online; click on the HANDOUTS section (to the left) to see the complete brackets for these tournaments: Pflugerville JV/Freshmen Tournament (Thurs-Sat., Dec. 3-5) Hays Rebel Classic Tournament (varsity tourney, Thurs-Sat., Dec. 10-12) Georgetown Subvarsity Tournament (for JV/freshmen, Thurs-Sat., Dec. 10-12) Pflugerville JV/Freshmen Tournament (Dec. 3-5) - JV bracket - Freshmen bracket Daily Admission: $4 adults, $2 youth Awards: Individual medals will be presented to members of the championship teams in each division For the second consecutive year, in lieu of team trophies, the Pflugerville Girls Basketball program will make donations in the names of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and consolation teams to the Capital Area Food Bank in Austin. This week's JV tourney has 15 teams, including April Ellickson's Panther JV squad and the Panthers freshman "A" (gold) team, coached by Patrick Hinson. There is a 16-team field for the freshmen tourney where P'ville freshman "B" team (blue team), coached by Tamara Sansom, will compete. In the JV Tournament, the Panther Freshman "A" squad's first game is at 8 a.m. Thursday against Hendrickson; the Pflugerville JV opens play against Westwood at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. In the Freshman Tournament, the P'ville Blue squad's first game is at 5 p.m. Thursday against Leander. |
