If you want to be a champion when you come to Seven Lakes and wrestle for the Spartans, your best chance is to get involved in a local youth wrestling program.  Katy ISD does not currently support Junior High wrestling, so you will not get much wrestling exposure from your school.  Clubs are the way to go.  Wrestling is a technique sport, and the more experience you have before you get to High School the better.  Click here for more information.

There are several local clubs that you can get involved in.  Any club that teaches wrestling is a good club, but if you need a reomendation, I recommend The Ranch Wrestling Club.  It is very close by (at Cinco Ranch High School).  It has a bunch of great coaches.  It is very reasonably priced.  They have a well planned out schedule.  I just can't say enough about it.  Their website is http://theranchwrestlingclub.com/  The head director of the youth is Doug Koger.  His email is dekoger@kogerlaw.com
