Post season awards continue to be handed out to two Laker baseball players. Hunter Best and Tyler Robertson have been named as All State selections. Robertson, Jr., earned first team All State. Hunter Best, Sr., was named Honorable Mention All State. The awards were voted on by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association, comprised of coaches from the Commonwealth. Both players will also be playing in the upcoming East-West All Star games on the campus of the University of Louisville. Robertson for the Junior squad and Best will be playing for the Senior team.

 Hunter Best, who holds the Laker record for hits in a season, had an impressive Senior season. Best had a .420 batting average, on On Base percentage of .517 to go along with the 50 hits he tallied in 2012. Hunter was the team leader this year in stolen bases (21) and runs scored (54). He also sported a 4-1 record, 2 saves, and an ERA of 1.91 on the mound.

 Robertson, 2012 4th Region POY, had stats that landed him as a sure fire All-State selection. Tyler was the team leader in several categories: Hits, HR, Doubles, Batting Average, OB%, and ERA.

 Congratulations to Hunter and Tyler on their baseball achievments and good luck in Louisville in the upcoming Sr. & Jr. East-West All Star games!!
