Sophmore Alex Turner has been selected as one of the players to represent the 4th Region in the upcoming Sophmore Showcase in Louisville.  The showcase is an oppurtunity for some of the 2012 Sophmores to display their skills in front of college coaches and Major League scouts.

  In 2012, Alex had a record of 4-2 with a 3.54 ERA. In 30 innings of work he allowed 15 earned runs and collected 17 strikeouts. In his short time with the Laker baseball team, Turner has pitched against several top 20 teams in state such as PRP and Bryan Station. Alex has the ability of keeping opposing teams at bay with his ability to change speeds and spot his fastball.

 The showcase will be held on June 19th (9:30am EST) at PRP baseball field in Louisville.
