On March 18th of this year, Sophomore standout Hunter Best became the record holder of hits in a single Season. Hunter doubled in his first at bat against Taylor County for his record breaking 53rd hit of the season. For the day Hunter finished 4 for 4 , grand slam and 5 RBI'S.

 The record for hits in  single season was held by former Laker great, Nick Huckaby. In 2006, Nick collected 52 hits that season.
