Game Notes: A beautiful but windy day set the stage for the 2nd game of the season.For many it was a first glance at the returning Sasnowski award winner, Pat Schumacher. Coming off a stellar 7-10-1.85: 2003, Pat sent reining home run champ(Gino) down 1-2 in the first. Grounding out on a 3-2 count and then the K on an 8 pitch AB.
2002 Rookie of the Year, Jason Williams also with amazing offense in 2003 .381-47-133, didn't score until the 3rd inning when he sent a first pitch curve ball from Gino high over the left field fence. It would be his only run o the game.
Setting the new home run mark in 2003, gino .365-55-151. took Pat yard back to back from both sides of the plate in the 2nd. But it was not enough. Pat smashed 4 Home Runs to every part of the field, going 5-9.
