Notes:
Christian, Ritacco (3), Woods (5), & Anderson (7) Eastview won their third consecutive game in a thrilling 4-3 win over Inver Grove Heights. The game had many baserunners and many missed opportunities by both sides. Inver Grove left 14 men on base and the Lightning left 8 men on. The bullpen for Eastview came in and threw 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball. Velin (rbi) had a pinch hit single with 2 outs in the sixth to take the lead. The defense had its best game of the year, by far! The lone error was on a grounder back to the pitcher. The offense was led by Stark (2 runs, 2b) & Higgins (rbi). The Lightning travel to Cottage Grove tomorrow for their first game of pool play. They will send Stark (1-0, 2.10) to the mound against Hudson. Woods (W, 1-0) Anderson (SV, 1) |
