Turner Pruett's walk-off single sends Suns home winners, 7-6
A walk-off single from Turner Pruett brought home the winning run for East in a 7-6 victory over Kewaskum Varsity in 10 innings at Regner Park on Saturday.
Turner was hot from the plate for the Suns. Turner went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth and tenth innings.
Collin Liebherr had a hot bat for East as well. Collin went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second and third innings.
Turner got the win in relief for the Suns. Turner pitched one inning and allowed no runs.
Demmon was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
The bottom of the second saw the Suns take an early lead, 1-0. Collin started the rally for East with a single. A stolen base then moved Collin from second to third.
East quickly matched Kewaskums strong inning with a four-run inning of its own in the third. They scored on an RBI single by Collin, an RBI double by Sam Michels, and a two-run single by Nathan Farrington who was red hot going 3 for 5 on the day.
The Suns tied the game in the seventh on an RBI single by Nathan that scored Nick Rosenthal.
