Notes:
The East Suns and Germantown Varsity exchanged the lead six times on Friday, but the Suns ended up on top with a 7-4 win in seven innings over The Warhawks.
East finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. A groundout by Travis Bizub scored Sam Michels and gave The Suns the lead for good.
Nick Rosenthal racked up two RBIs on two hits for East. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Jonah Maas got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. Jonah struck out nine, walked seven and gave up six hits.
Trevor Mofy took the loss for Germantown Varsity. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked eight and struck out two.
The bottom of the first saw the Suns take an early lead, 2-0. Gavin Forster singled to ignite Easts offense. An error then moved Gavin from first to second. Zach Biermann singled, bringing home Gavin. The scoreboard lit up again for East when Rosenthal scored on a groundout by Nick Reimer.
The Suns scored one run of its own in the fifth. East scored on a bases loaded walk.
