Higgins, Edsten (7), & Anderson (7) The Lighting won their second game in pool play, running their winning streak to 5 now. They hopped on Robinsdale early, taking a 5-0 lead. Robinsdale cut the lead to 3 before Woods (sb, 3 rbi) stepped to the plate and hit a full count two-out pitch over the right field fence. That gave Eastview an 8-2 lead heading to the bottom half. However, Robinsdale fought back and had the tying and winning runners in scoring position before Anderson (k, SV) got the final groundout. Leading the offense was Woods & Velin (2b, 2 rbi). Due to weather cancelling the remainder of the tournament, the Lightning get to rest their injured bodies until Thursday when they will battle Farmington.
