Game Notes: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
IN A SEE-SAW BATTLE, THE BEARS COME FROM BEHIND TO CLAIM THEIR 2ND LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP DEFEATING THE LAS VEGAS OUTLAWS 11-10!
In what was suppose to be a pitchers duel turned into a see-saw offensive battle between 2 of the best offenses in the league. playing on one of the Best Fields in Nevada (CCSN) The Bears Relentlessly Pounded 2 Outlaw Pitchers for a Season High 21 Hits, and scored at leaset 1 Run in every inning but the 3rd, and 4th, Which included scoring 2 Runs with 1 Out in the bottom of the 9th to win in Dramatic Fashion.
Chris Heiman Started for the Bears, and went the first 4 Innings, and Left Trailing 6-4, Mike McCarty Relieved Heiman, and Went the remaining 5 innings, and Earned the Victory Allowing 1 Earned Run While Striking out 4.
Defensive Errors were nearly the Bears Downfall as we Committed 8 Errors which directly resulted in 7 Outlaw Runs!
It was the Offense who Collectivly Stepped up, and Out hit the Outlaws, Led By Drew Zoulko (2 Runs Scored), Kevin Hughes (2 Runs Scored) and Scott Karstedt (2 Doubles and 3 RBI's), who each had 3 Hits, 6 other Bears Had 2 Hits Each; Dave Scaringe , Ed King, Scott Bergset, Brian Klimaski, Robert Hinchliffe, and McCarty.
It was Keith Pettrey's 2 Out 2 Strike RBI Line Drive Single over 2nd Base in the 8th Inning that Pulled the Bears within 1 Run of the Outlaws, and in the Bottom of the 9th with 1 Out Hughes Doubled to the Gap Karstedt Doubled to Drive in Hughes, and With the Infield in on the Grass Ed King hit a High Hopping Single Straight Up the Middle, and Through into Centerfield to easily Score Pinch Runner Mike Perry with the Winning Run!!!! BEARS WIN BEARS WIN!!!!!
