Game
Notes:
The Thunder (4-1, 2-0) saw its early season win streak stopped at four with a 6-3 loss to Eagan in the championship game of the Eagan tournament. Righthander Casey Jacobson (1-1) went the route, striking our four and walking none to keep the club in the game. The Thunder offense, which came into Sunday's play averaging just under 10 runs per game, was held in check for most of the day. After the tournament host Patriots took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, the Thunder stomed back to tie the game at 3-3. Tom Bauer (RS) reached on an error and Robbie Sikich (RS) drew a walk. With one out, Sam Foy (RBI) singled to left to plate Bauer, setting the stage for Andy Gensch (1B,2B,RBI). Gensch (2-for-4), making his debut in the lead-off spot, hit a laser off the wall in left center to drive home Sikich. Pete "Z-Man" Zukanoff (2-for-4) followed with an RBI single to tie the game. That was to be all of the offense for the Thunder however, as they would manage just two hits over the final five frames. After The club has Monday off before returning to action Tuesday at home vs. Burnsville in their second match-up of the season. Veteran righthander Dan Coyle (1-0) is expected to get his first start for the Thunder.
